How We Give Back to our Community

Our Philosophy

We hold dear the ideals of economic and social justice. In order to truly serve our community and show our appreciation for all we have and our existence on this planet, we offer free or very low cost programs for those unable to pay established rates for our services. It is our hope that others in the healing field and other service industries will take it upon themselves to give back where ever they can. Gifting as an economic model can be a reality if we can see how abundant our lives are, look to where needs are not being met, move into our hearts and take action from there.

Pro Bono Trainings for those in need

We have a number of clients who are unable to pay for services who we see as a service to our community and the world. If you or someone you know fits this description, please contact us. Unfortunately, we generally have a long waiting list, yet do our best to accommodate the most urgent cases.

We hope that in reading this you will encourage other healing professionals to open their doors to those in need and serve a number of them without charge.

Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback Groups for Veterans

We are taking names for a group to be started in the Spring or early Summer for up to eight Veterans having served in any war. The group will assemble weekly for 8 to 12 weeks. The focus will be using the effective Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback from Heartmath to retrain the autonomic nervous system to move from the fight-or-flight response into a state of calm. Other techniques employed in our practice at the Center will be covered. Our hope is to aid those trying to get their lives more grounded after traumatic experiences they experienced in war time. We are seeking an experienced LMFT, MFT, counselor or psychiatrist to advise for this group. It will be free of charge, with possible rental fee if anyone wishes to have the equipment for home use. Please contact us if you know of  suitable Veterans, of any therapist who might be interested in assisting or of anyone able to donate financially for help in renting the equipment.
